Women's Golf Finishes Third at 18-Team Mount Holyoke Invite

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – The Amherst College women's golf team recorded their third consecutive top-three finish, as the Mammoths tallied a day one score of 318 and a day two score of 310 (628) to clinch third overall at the Mount Holyoke Invitational at the Orchards Golf Club.

COURSE PAR: 72 - 6,217 yards
TOP-MAMMOTH: Zoe Wong '18 (T-9)

Wong headlined the Mammoths with back-to-back scores of 78 to card a 158 on the weekend and finish tied for ninth place.

Morgan Yurosek '20 and Jessica Jeong '20 each finished 14-over-par with 158's to tie for 15th overall, as Yurosek logged an 82 and a 76 and Jeong carded an 80 and a 78.

Finishing in a tie for 23rd, Emily Young '20 notched an 84-78-162 mark, while Isabelle Ouyang '21 rounded out Amherst's scoring golfers with a 34th place finish (78-88-166).

The Mammoths had three student-athletes competing as individuals at the invitational, with Lily Worden '21 pacing the group with a 76-83-159 to tie for 18th overall. Katie Rosenberg '19 notched a 85-78-163 mark to tie for 26th, while Serena Lee '21 finished in the 56th spot with a two-day score of 181 (96-85).

Amherst returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 30 when they travel to Middlebury College for the two-day George Phinney Golf Classic.
