HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – Amherst College women's golfer Jamie Gracie '17 entered Wednesday's round tied for 44th overall and finished the day tied for 30th overall following second round action at the NCAA Division III Championship at the El Campeon Golf Course at the Mission Inn Resort hosted by Central Florida Sports Commission and Oglethorpe University.
After 36 holes of golf, Washington University-St. Louis shaved two strokes off its day one score of 320 to move into first place with a two-day total of 638. Williams College sits in second place with a score of 641, while the University of the Redlands is in third place with a combined score of 647 to round out the top three in the field of 21 teams.
Mary Hardin-Baylor's McKenzie Ralston leads the field of 110 players with a two-day score of 145 (74-71) and is just one over par through 36 holes.
After posting a round mark of 85, Gracie cut five strokes off that score to card an 80 on day two for a combined score of 165. She is now slotted in a four-way tie for 30th place overall.
Gracie returns to the course for round three on Thursday morning.
