HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - Amherst College sophomore women's golfer Jamie Gracie improved eight places and now sits in a tie for 22nd overall following day three action at the NCAA Division III Championship at the El Campeon Golf Course at the Mission Inn Resort, hosted by Central Florida Sports Commission and Oglethorpe University.
Williams College took over the lead in the field of 21 teams after registering a score of 309 on Thursday for a combined score of 950 over the first three rounds. Washington University-St. Louis moved to second (956), while Wittenberg University jumped to third place with a total score of 958 through 54 holes.
Mary Hardin-Baylor's McKenzie Ralston continues to lead the field of 110 golfers with a three-day total of 224 following her 79 on Thursday.
Gracie shaved a stroke off her score from Wednesday, carding a third round mark of 79 and now rests in a five-way tie for 22nd place overall. Gracie's 79 gives her a three-day score of 244.
Gracie concludes action at the NCAA championship Friday.
