WELLESLEY, Mass. – Jamie Gracie '17 carded a second-day score of 73 and finished with a combined score of 150 to place second overall, and led the Amherst College women's golf team to a fifth place finish at the Ann S. Batchelder Invitational hosted by Wellesley College at Nehoiden Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday.
Williams College won the nine team invitational with a combined score of 624. New York University finished second with a two-day mark of 638, followed by Middlebury College in third (656). Mount Holyoke College (665), Amherst (674), Vassar College (708), host Wellesley (734), William Smith College (772) and Westfield State University (894) completed the field.
Tracey Kim of Williams was the individual medalist after totaling a score of 148 (75-73), just two strokes ahead of Gracie who finished with a 77 on day one and a 73 on day two en route to her score of 150.
Zoe Wong '18 tied for 10th overall with a two-day mark of 163 (82-81), Katherine Britt '15 notched a two-day total of 175 (93-82), and Angelina Guan '17 and Patricia Huang '17 finished with respective scores of 186 (99-87) and 188 (101-87).
The Ann S. Batchelder Invitational wrapped up the fall portion of the Jeffs' schedule for 2014-15. The Purple & White will return to action in the Spring.
