WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Jamie Gracie '17 of the Amherst women's golf team posted the lowest score at the Williams Fall Invitational Sunday to earn medalist honors with a two-day 150 (73-77) as the Jeffs took fourth overall in the 15-team field.
Amherst shot 317 on day-one to rank third overall but posted a 327 on Sunday to finish with a two-day 644. Williams scored a 629 (316-313) to win the event with Middlebury taking second (639-313-326) and Ithaca finishing third (643-320-323).
Sooji Choi '14 took 17th overall and second for the Jeffs after cutting four strokes off her day-one score to finish with a 164 (84-80). The senior placed one stroke ahead of Kristen Lee '14 and Devyn Gardner '16 who shot a 165 each. Lee scored an 81 and 84 respectively while Gardner finished with a day one 79 followed by an 86 on day-two. Katherine Britt '15 cut 12 strokes off her score on Sunday to finish with a 185.
In individual action, Sarah Ressler '16 finished in a tie for 29th with a two-day scorecard of 171 (89-82).
The Jeffs return to action on Saturday, October 12 for the two-day Wellesley Invitational.
