No. 2 Men's Cross Country Repeats as Little III Champs!

AMHERST, Mass. – Finishing four runners inside the top-five to post a stat line of 2-3-4-6-12(14)(16) and a team average 6K time of 19:49, the No. 2 Amherst College men's cross country team opened the season strong to successfully defend their Little III Championship crown. 

Amherst returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 22 when they compete in the Purple Valley Classic at Williams beginning at 12:10 p.m.

  • TOP-MAMMOTH: Clark Ricciardelli '20 (19:30.4 / 2nd)

MAMMOTH SCORING RUNNERS

  • Picking up where he left off last season, Ricciardelli paced the Mammoths in their season opener, crossing the finish line in 19:30.4 to claim second overall.
  • Finishing just behind Ricciardelli was Cosmo Brossy '19, with the senior posting a time of 19:32.3 to earn third overall.
  • Spencer Ferguson-Dryden '20 recorded a time of 19:45.4 to take fourth place, while Tucker Meijer '19 placed sixth with a 20:00.2 mark.
  • First-year Matthew Bradley '22 impressed in his collegiate debut, clinching 12th overall with a time of 20:17.9 as Amherst's final scoring runner.
