    Junior harrier Clark Ricciardelli of the Amherst College men's cross country and track & field teams has been named to the 2018-19 Google Cloud Academic All-America First Team, as voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), for his combined excellence on the playing field and in the classroom.
  • Amherst Secures Eighth Place Showing in Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup

    CLEVELAND, Ohio. – For the 13th consecutive season, Amherst College has placed in the top-ten in the country when the final results of the IMG Learfield College Directors’ Cup were announced Wednesday. The Mammoths took eighth place out of 338 Division III schools in the annual competition, which ranks schools who have reached the national level of competition in each NCAA sport.

    Clark Ricciardelli '20 crossed the finish line inside the top-40 to pace the Mammoths and claim All-American distinction as the No. 8 Amherst College men’s cross country team finished with a scoring order of 18-37-51-53-94(170)(205) to place sixth overall at the 2018 Division III NCAA Championships hosted by UW-Oshkosh Saturday afternoon at the Lake Breeze Golf Club.

Competitors in the 35th installment of the annual conference meet will run the trails of Franklin Park, with the men's eight -kilometer race scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

    Traveling to Lehigh University for the 45th annual Paul Short Run, presented by ASICS, at the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course, the No. 11 Amherst College men’s cross country team notched a 22nd place finish in the top-tier Gold race that featured 34 Division I programs and seven squads from Division III.
