No. 7 Men's Cross Country Clinches Fourth Overall at James Earley Invite

WESTFIELD, Mass.  – The No. 7 Amherst College men's cross country team placed all five runners inside the top-26 as the Mammoths placed fourth overall at the 37-team, 22nd annual James Earley Invitational men's white division race Saturday morning at  Stanley Park.

Bill Massey '20 (26:27.47 / 6th)
TOTAL RUNNERS: 266 

MAMMOTHS SCORING RUNNERS

  • Averaging a time of 3:18.5 per kilometer, Massey clocked a 26:27.47 mark to finish first on Amherst and sixth overall.
  • Clinching 17th, Aaron Zambrano '18 crossed the finish line in 26:54.11, while Chris Stone '20 logged a 30th place finish behind a time of 27:29.33.
  • Ralph Skinner'20 posted 32nd overall with a 27:43.02 mark, while Ermias Kebede '19 rounded out Amherst's scoring runners with a 36th place finish (27:52.46). 

The Mammoths return to action on Saturday, Oct. 14 when they travel to Williams College for the Little III Championships. The men's 8K race is slated to take off at 1:15 p.m.
