Fourth Ranked Men’s Tennis to Host Six-Team NCAA Regional


AMHERST, Mass. – The fourth-ranked Amherst College men's tennis team has earned an at-large bid to the 2019 NCAA Division III Championship and will act as the regional host for the First, Second and Third Rounds this weekend, May 10-12 at the Amherst Tennis Courts.

The Mammoths, owning a 16-4 overall record, captured a First Round bye and are set to battle the winner of the match between Nichols and Wilkes on May 11th.

The University of Mary Washington also received an opening round bye and will face either UMass Boston or Stevens in Second Round action.

Amherst returns to the national postseason tournament for the 20th season, and receives a First Round bye for the 13th consecutive trip. Appearing in 19 previous NCAA Championships, the Mammoths are 37-17 all-time, including national championships in 2011 and 2014.
