AMHERST, Mass. - The Amherst College men's tennis team swept every set on the way to a decisive 6-0 dual-match win over visiting Brandeis College on Tuesday.
Top-seeded sophomore Brian Chin (Dobbs Ferry, NY) set the tone with a 6-4, 6-5 win over Herb Miller, and later teamed with classmate Adam Leibsohn (Mission Hills, KS) to top Zach Bennett and Alan Berk 8-6 in doubles. Leibsohn also won his singles match, 6-1, 6-2 over Dave Block.
Elsewhere in the draw, second-seeded senior Reeve Segal (Newton, MA) downed Bennet 6-1, 6-2, sophomore Andy Tsai (Tampa, FL) beat Tasos Logathatis 6-2, 6-2, junior David Wellner (West Hartford, CT) swept Adam Schift 6-1, 6-2, and sophomore Robert Feeley (Chappaqua, NY) topped Berk 6-2, 6-3.
The Amherst men's tennis team returns to action this Friday at Skidmore College.
