SHENANDOAH, Texas – The Amherst College men's swimming & diving team concluded Day One action of the NCAA Championships at the CISD Natatorium with six total points.
DAY ONE HIGHLIGHTS
- Competing in the 500-yard freestyle, first-year Eric Wong placed 30th overall with time of 4:35.68.
- Jack Koravos '20 clocked a time of 21.02 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle to claim 35th overall in the 48-man race.
- After notching a time of 1:30.96 in the 200-yard medley relay preliminaries to place 15th overall and secure spot in the consolation finals, the quartet of Sam Spurrell '18 (23.94), Elijah Spiro '18 (24.70), Koravos (22.37) and Alex Dreisbach '17 (20.47) posted a mark of 1:31.48 to place 14th in the 25 team race and claim six points for Amherst.
- Amherst continues NCAA Championship competition tomorrow, March 16, with event preliminaries slated to begin at 10 a.m. followed by the finals at 6 p.m.
