SHENANDOAH, Texas – Connor Sholtis '15 was crowned the NCAA champion in the 200-yard freestyle and the Jeffs are slotted in 13th place after day two action at the 2015 NCAA Division III Championships held at the Conroe ISD Natatorium in Shenandoah, Texas.
Kenyon (287) leads the field after two days of action, followed by Denison (209), Emory (145), Williams (143) and CMS (128) to round out the top five teams.
Sholtis touched the wall in a time of 1:37.37 to secure top honors in the 200-yard freestyle after edging last year's champion in the event Austin Caldwell of Kenyon (1:37.38).
In the 400-yard individual medley, Jeff Anderson '16 clocked a time of 3:59.53 and finished 16th overall.
In the 1-meter dive, Asher Lichtig '16 registered a score of 407.80 and finished 15th overall.
Amherst returns to action on Friday, March 20 with preliminaries beginning at 10 a.m. and the finals starting at 6 p.m.
