Men's Swimming & Diving Competes in Day 1 Action at NCAA Championships

SHENANDOAH, Texas – The Amherst College men's swimming and diving competed in day one action at the 2015 NCAA Division III Championships Wednesday night at the Conroe ISD Natatorium.

The Jeffs are tied with Chicago for 28th place after posting two points. Kenyon leads the field with 109 points, with Emory (88) and Williams (66)  in second and third, respectively. Denison sits fourth with 60 points followed by Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in fifth (54).

The Purple & White received points from its 200-yard medley relay squad, which finished 16th overall. The quartet consisting of Matt Heise '16, Elijah Spiro '18, Tyler Hampton '15 and Connor Sholtis '15 touched the wall in 1:31.39.

Amherst returns to the pool tomorrow with trials beginning at 10 a.m. and finals starting at 6 p.m.
