  • Amherst Places 10th at NCAA Championships; Kai Robinson Named Diver of the Meet

    The Amherst College men’s swimming and diving team capped off an impressive season by placing 10th at the 2008 NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships, as the Lord Jeffs racked up 131 points during the three-day event at Miami University. Junior Kai Robinson (Vashon, WA) accounted for both of Amherst’s individual championships and was named Diver of the Meet for his efforts, with Amherst's Mary Ellen Clark being named Diving Coach of the Meet.
  • Men's Swimming and Diving in 12th Place at NCAA Championships After Day Two

    Amherst College landed in 14th place after day one of the 2008 NCAA Division III Men's Swimming and Diving Championships, but the Lord Jeffs were able to jump to 12th place by the end of the second day of competition. Leading the Jeffs on Friday was Alex Fraser, who placed third in the 200-yard Freestyle with a time of 1:39.27.
  • Men's Swimming and Diving in 14th at NCAA Championships After Day One

    The Amherst College men's swimming and diving team landed in 14th place after day one of the 2008 NCAA Division III Championships, as the Lord Jeffs racked up 31 points. Highlighting the day for Amherst was junior Kai Robinson's individual championship score in the 1-meter diving event. The Jeffs will resume competition Friday evening.
  • Nine Amherst Men Combine for 29 All-NESCAC Honors

    The NESCAC announced today the 2007-08 Men’s Swimming and Diving All-Conference Team, with the top three finishers in each event at the 2008 NESCAC Men’s Swimming and Diving Championship receiving All-Conference recognition. Nine members of the Amherst squad combined to earn 29 All-NESCAC honors, as the Lord Jeffs placed third at the championship meet.
  • Amherst Men Place Third at 2008 NESCAC Championships

    The 2008 NESCAC Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships kicked off this past Friday and concluded Sunday evening at Middlebury College. Amherst College placed third with 1,399 points, finishing behind Tufts University (1,489) and seven-time champion Williams College (1,860). Amherst’s Junior Kai Robinson (Vashon, WA) was named Diver of the Year, while senior Connor Boyd (Northridge, CA) earned Four-Year High Point Diver honors.
  • Amherst Men Ready for NESCAC Championships at Middlebury

    Amherst College will search for its first swimming and diving conference title this weekend, as Middlebury College hosts the 2008 NESCAC Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships. The three-day event begins on Friday, Feb. 29 and concludes on Sunday, Mar. 2 with preliminary heats in the morning and championship races in the evening at the Middlebury Natatorium in Mddlebury, Vermont.
  • Lord Jeff Swimming Snags Wins Against Springfield

    After a stirring ceremony to honor all 13 of the team’s graduating seniors, the Amherst College men's and women's swimming and diving teams both picked up wins over Springfield College at home in their final dual meets of the season. The women won 132-103 while the men topped the Pride 129.5-105.5.
  • Amherst Swim Teams Improve to 4-0 With Wins Over Hamilton

    The Amherst College men's and women's swimming and diving teams each picked up road wins at Hamilton College to remain undefeated. The men's team won 201-97, while the women defeated Hamilton 198-96.
  • Amherst's Witzke Named NESCAC Performer of the Week

    Amherst College junior swimmer Christian Witzke (Jacksonville, FL) was named the NESCAC Men’s Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week this afternoon for his role in Amherst’s 193-98 win over visiting Middlebury College on Saturday. Witzke and the Lord Jeffs are 3-0 heading into the winter break.
  • Swim Teams Pick Up Lopsided Wins Over Middlebury

    The Amherst College men's and women's swimming and diving teams each picked up convincing wins over visiting Middlebury College Saturday December 1st at Pratt Pool. The men's team won 193-98, while the women took a 169-129 victory.
  • Amherst Swim Teams Start Season 2-0 on Both Sides

    The Amherst College men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams started their seasons off with strong wins against NESCAC foe Colby College. The women took thirteen of their sixteen events on their way to a 143-119 win while the men swept all sixteen to clinch their 141-102 win. The teams returned to action Monday, November 19th with wins against NESCAC and Little Three archrival Wesleyan University. The women came out on top by a score of 143-95, while the men were victorious by a count of 137-104.
