Stuart George was named the Men’s and Women’s Squash Assistant Coach in December of 2018.

As a player, George was a Scottish Men’s Internationalist, playing for Scotland in the Men’s European Championships. A member of the Scottish Sport Institute Performance team, he was a two-time West of Scotland Regional Player of the Year and a two-time West of Scotland Open Winner. George reached 262nd in the PSA world rankings before having to withdraw due to a sickness. After reentering the tour, he climbed to 423rd and has plans to compete in the 2019 European Championships in Birmingham, UK. Currently sitting third in the Scottish Rankings, George has also won multiple National Scottish Gold event championships.

George worked as a head coach at the Giffnock Squash, Tennis and Hockey Club where he ran the biggest squash junior excellence program in the country. He coached the U-19 national team at the European Championships as a Scottish Assistant Performance National coach and also served as an Assistant West Regional Performance coach where he worked with the best national and regional juniors in the country.

George found success in coaching at the University level when he led Heriot Watt University to a men’s national championship. He also coached at Edinburgh University where the women’s squash team received a British national ranking of second overall.
