No. 24 Men's Squash Edged by No. 21 MIT, 7-2

AMHERST, Mass. - The No. 24 Amherst College men's squash team was edged, 7-2 by No. 21 MIT Saturday afternoon at the Davenport Squash Courts in its regular season finale.

With the loss, Amherst moves to 7-10 overall. The Purple & White return to action Friday-Sunday, Feb. 17-19 at the CSA Team Championships hosted by Harvard University.

Amherst picked up wins on court three as David Merkel '19 defeated his opponent, 3-1 (11-9, 9-11, 11-8, 11-8), while Mateen Mills '20 earned a 3-2 win (5-11, 11-5, 11-7, 8-11, 11-4) on court eight. MIT swept just two matches (courts six and seven).

Position four saw Cameron Bahadori '18 fall, 3-2 (14-12, 13-11, 4-11, 9-11, 11-8), while Darian Ehsani '17 also fell, 3-2 (9-11, 7-11, 13-11, 11-7, 11-5). On court nine, Mitch Ford '20 went five sets, falling 3-2 (11-6, 11-9, 10-12, 8-11, 11-8) to his opponent.
