No. 20 Men's Squash Sweeps by Northeastern, 9-0

AMHERST, Mass. - The No. 20 Amherst College men's squash team secured a 9-0 sweep of club team Northeastern University Sunday at the Davenport Squash Courts.

With the win, Amherst improves to 2-1 overall, while Northeastern moves to 3-9 on the season. The Purple & White return to action Friday-Sunday, Jan. 20-22 when they host the Pioneer Valley Invitational at the Davenport Squash Courts.

Amherst won each match in straight sets including default wins on courts eight, nine and ten for Darian Ehsani '17, Lucas Sheiner '19, and Ian Petty '19.

Harith Khawaja '19 battled to an 11-2, 12-10, 11-2 win on court one, Michael Groot '17 posted an 11-0, 11-2, 11-0 on court two, and Cameron Bahadoi '18 secured an 11-1, 11-0, 11-0 win on court three.

On court four, Mateen Mills '20 won, 11-4, 11-1, 11-0, while Christopher Zimmerman '20 downed his opponent, 11-1, 11-1, 11-1 from the fifth position. On court six, Mitch Ford '20 won, 11-0, 11-0, 11-0, while Rob Schwartz III '19 registered an 11-2, 11-2, 11-0 win on court seven.
