AMHERST, Mass. – The No. 22 Amherst College men's squash team will compete in the Summers Cup (C Division) at the 2016 College Squash Association (CSA) Men's National Team Championships Friday, Feb. 19 to Sunday, February 21 at Yale University. 

Amherst opens action this weekend against No. 19 Wesleyan University at 2:30 p.m. The Purple & White take the court with an overall mark of 6-8, while the Cardinals stand at 12-5 overall. The winner of Friday's first round match advances to the semifinals Saturday, Feb. 20 at 2 p.m.

Amherst and Wesleyan met once earlier this season with the Cardinals edging the Purple & White, 5-4 during the Little III Championship hosted by Williams College on Jan. 31 in Williamstown, Mass. Noah Browne '16 secured a stellar 3-2, come-from-behind victory from the first position, while Cameron Bahadori '18 and Michael Groot '17 also won their matches in five sets from the second and sixth slots respectively. Jeremy Van '17 added a 3-0 sweep on the eighth court. 

The Summers Cup field is comprised of six NESCAC squads including No. 17 Bates College, No. 18 Williams, No. 19 Wesleyan, No. 21 Colby, No. 22 Amherst, and No. 23 Bowdoin College. So far in 2015-16, the Purple & White are 1-6 against its league rivals.
