HARTFORD, Conn. - The eighth-seeded Amherst College men's squash team earned a 6-3 victory over seventh-seeded Bowdoin College in Sunday's NESCAC Championship consolation round matchup at the George A. Kendall Squash Center on the campus of top-seed Trinity College.
- Amherst, which earned seventh place with the victory, posted victories from the first, third, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth positions to wrap up its NESCAC tournament run.
- Noah Browne '16 capped a stellar weekend with a 3-1 (9-11, 11-5, 12-10, 11-8) win from the first slot, while Darian Ehsani '17 picked up a 3-2 win (11-7, 8-11, 14-12, 9-11, 12-10) on the number five court.
- David Merkel '19 and Lucas Sheiner '19 each notched 3-1 wins from the number three and number seven positions respectively, while Michael Groot '17 and Jeremy Van '18 notched straight set sweeps on the number six and number eight courts respectively.
- Twenty-second-ranked Amherst returns to action at the three-day Men's CSA Championships Feb. 19-21 hosted by Yale University.
