Jeffs Defeated by Middlebury, 7-2

AMHERST, Mass. – The No. 22 Amherst College men's squash team lost to No. 21 Middlebury College Saturday afternoon in the team's final match of the 2014-15 season at the Davenport Courts, 7-2.

With the loss, the Jeffs fall to 4-6 on the year, while Middlebury improves to 11-5.

Noah Browne '16 won all three sets (11-3, 11-5, 11-9) on the No. 1 court against Andrew Jung. After dropping the first set on court No. 8 (11-6), Alex Southmayd '15 won three straight (11-5, 11-9, 11-8) to take the match, 3-1.

Darian Ehsani '17 took William Kurth to a fifth set on court No. 5, but ultimately fell 13-11 in the final set.

The Jeffs will travel to Wesleyan tomorrow, Feb. 1 for the Little Three Championship. The first match against Wesleyan is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., followed by Williams at 12:30 p.m.
