Jeffs Fall to No. 13 Brown, 8-1

AMHERST, Mass. - The nationally-ranked No. 22 Amherst College men's squash team dropped an 8-1 decision to No. 13 Brown University Wednesday evening at the Davenport Courts.

The loss marked the third straight for the Jeffs as they fall to 4-5 overall on the year, while the Bears won their third straight to improve to 5-2. 

Noah Browne '16 claimed the only win for the Purple & White as he defeated Jake Blasberg in the No. 1 spot, 3-1, by scores of 11-9, 10-12, 11-8 and 11-8. Scott DeSantis '15 won the first two games from the No. 2 spot (11-8, 11-5) but lost three straight, and Darian Ehsani '17 narrowly lost from the No. 5 spot when he forced a game five but dropped the decisive set to lose the match, 3-2.

The Jeffs return to the court Saturday, Jan. 31 and will host Middlebury in its last regular season match at the Davenport Courts this season. The match is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
