Wolf Picks Up Second USILA Team of the Week Nod Following Six-Point Day

AMHERST, Mass. – Senior captain and attackman Evan Wolf of the Amherst College men's lacrosse team has been named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's (USILA) Division III Warrior and New Balance Team of the Week following a standout performance in a win over twelfth-ranked Bates College.

The sixth consecutive week Amherst has landed a student-athlete on the USILA Team of the Week, this is the second time this spring the Wynnewood, Pa. native has garnered TOW honors, previously earning the accolade on March 20.

The spark in Amherst's offense in a dominant 25-12 win over Bates last Saturday, Wolf netted a game-high four goals, including three in the third quarter, and dished out two helpers to total six points, a ground ball, and a 40.0 shot percentage in the matchup.

Starting all 14 games so far this season, Wolf has recorded 56 goals and 83 total points to lead the team and the NESCAC in both categories and rank tied for seventh in Division III in goals per game (4.00). His 27 assists on the year are second on the Mammoths and sixth in the league.

Wolf and the No. 6 Mammoths return to action this Wednesday, April 24 when they travel to Trinity College to close out the regular season. Opening faceoff is slated for 6 p.m.
