Lindstrom Tabbed Second Team All-NESCAC

NESCAC RELEASE

HADLEY, Mass. – Amherst College men's ice hockey junior forward Thomas Lindstrom has been named to the All-NESCAC Second Team, as announced by the league office Tuesday.

12 student-athletes from seven institutions garnered the annual award, with six forwards, four defenders and two goalkeepers named to the First and Second Teams. Hamilton and Williams led the conference with three selections each, while two Trinity players each earned a nod. Amherst, Colby, Tufts and Wesleyan were each represented by one skater.

A Brooklyn Park, Minn. native, Lindstrom secures his first All-NESCAC honor following a stellar junior campaign in which he ranked tied for 11th in the conference in points per game (0.83). Appearing in all 18 league contests this winter, Lindstrom was a key contributor on the Purple & White's offensive attack – netting seven goals, including two game-winners, and dishing out eight assists for 15 total points. A proven two-way skater and impact player on special teams, two of Lindstrom's tallies came on the power play or the penalty kill.

Amherst concluded the regular season with a 9-6-3 mark in NESCAC play, capturing the fifth-seed in the highly competitive conference.
