MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -- Cameron Clark '20 carded an even par on day one and posted a 73 on day two of the 2019 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Men's Golf Championship, as he represented the Purple & White as an individual and tied for fifth overall on the weekend at Ralph Myhre Golf Course.
Due to rain, Saturday's competition was cut to nine holes while Sunday consisted of a regular 18 that commenced at 11:00 AM, making it a 27-hole tournament.
Clark, who has contributed key scores in Amherst's top-performances throughout the season, finished tied for second place after the opening nine holes on Saturday with an even 35. On day two, the Mammoth continued rolling and shot two-over through 18 holes to cap off the season tying for fifth place as an individual with a score of 108.
Williams Sam Goldenring led the individuals tying for third with 107 total while his teammates, Beau David and Jake Foehl, fell behind Clark with scores of 110 and 118, respectively. Trinity (Conn.) went on to win the championship by four strokes over second place finisher Hamilton.
