Yamin repeats as a Second Team All-Region selection for the second straight year, while Griffiths, who also was named to the Second Team on the offensive side, collects his first All-Region accolade.
Both players were named First Team All-NESCAC, with Yamin also picking up Defensive Player of the Year honors.
The pair were two of just five players from the NESCAC to be named to the All-East Region, which spans as far south as Maryland and out past Western and Upstate New York.
Yamin was the NESCAC leader in sacks with 9.5 this season. He added 46 tackles, including 17 for loss. This is the second straight year he has led the conference in sacks in a senior campaign that included a 3.5 sack performance against Middlebury and an eight tackle, 1.5 sack effort on the road at Trinity.
Griffiths was part of an Amherst offensive line that helped the Mammoths record 3,502 yards of total offense this season. He blocked for a rushing attack that ranked second in the league, averaging 204.9 yards per game. Amherst was also second in the league with 389.1 yards per game of total offense.
The senior guard had a player grade of 92 out of 100 and allowed just one sack this year.
The D3Football.com All East-Region teams, selected in balloting by East Region sports information directors and D3football.com staff, were chosen from 328 nominations by full Division III member schools. A total of 78 players were chosen.
Players nominated for All-Region are eligible to be considered for D3football.com All-America honors, which will be announced the evening of Dec. 14, in D3football.com's pregame coverage for Stagg Bowl XLV.
