Niyi Odewade '17 has been a force for the Amherst College football program over the past four years. Recently named the Desmond "Tuss" McLaughry Award Winner, the Newark, N.J. native was named a First Team All-NESCAC Defense selection in 2016 and helped anchor a stingy Amherst defense that allowed just 238.9 yards of total per game, including a miniscule, 79.0 rushing yards per contest, and just 13.9 points per game. Odewade finished his senior campaign with 32 tackles, 4.5 sacks for a loss of 32 yards, and 9.5 tackles for a loss of 43 yards.

Not just a key component of the Mammoths' defensive unit, Odewade has made an impact in the classroom as well and is poised to make a difference in the world after graduation.
