Wellness, Lifetime Fitness and Recreational opportunities are limited as we practice social distancing and promote outdoor activities during the COVID-19 pandemic.  At this point, in-person outdoor Wellness Classes being offered during the fall of 2020 will be open to Amherst College students only and will require sign-up, as class sizes will be limited to 9 participants. Recreational fitness opportunities are available based on facility hours and season.

Wellness & Fitness Classes such as Yoga, Barre, Zumba, Pilates and Ab Classes will be offered both in-person outdoors as well as virtually over zoom.  Please check the schedule page and follow all instructions and protocols to keep the Herd safe!!!  

Fall 2020 Outdoor Fitness Class with Chris Boyko

The College will be launching a progressive outdoor fitness class led by Chris Boyko, Strength and Conditiong Coach for Amherst Athletics. 7:00 and 8:30 AM every weekday. All levels of fitness level and experience welcome and classes are free of charge. Register today!


The indoor recreational program will be limited to use of the pool and fitness center and again, will be limited to Amherst College students only with sign-ups required so that we will meet the necessary distance requirements per Massachusetts requirements.  

As always, the Amherst College campus is a beautiful place to recreate outdoors safely whether it be walking, running, and other outdoor activities that can allow for safe distancing and mask-wearing.
