ACCESS POLICY FOR AMHERST COLLEGE ATHLETIC FACILITIES:

Entrance to Facility:  Everyone using the athletic facilities must enter through the front doors of Alumni Gym. You will need to swipe your picture ID card to gain access.

Who May Use Facilities:  Amherst College students, alumni, faculty and full-time staff may use the athletic facilities. You must have your picture ID to gain access. Spouses, domestic partners and dependents of full-time faculty and staff, 16 – 24 years of age, are eligible to receive a picture ID so they can also utilize the athletic facilities during off-peak times. Children, age 15 and younger, must be accompanied and supervised by an ID card holder and may use the facilities during off-peak times only. Children of Amherst College employees are able to use the gym with the employee’s spouse during non-peak hours including weekends and vacation periods.

How Can My Family Members Obtain a Picture ID:  During business hours, College faculty and full-time staff may visit Room 1202 in the Alumni Gym and complete the Fitness Center Pass application for families. Once the application has been completed and processed, the family member{s} will need to visit Dining Services located in the lower level of Valentine Hall to obtain their photo ID card.  There are no guest privileges for family pass holders.

Are There Any Restrictions:  During the academic year, from 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Monday through Friday, the use of the facilities is for students, alumni, faculty and full-time staff picture ID card holders only. No guests or faculty/staff children may use the facilities during these hours. Pass holders may not let others use their ID. There are no guest privileges for family pass holders.

Are Alumni Permitted to Use the Athletic Facilities:  Yes, all alumni are eligible for a picture ID. Do The Hours to the Facilities Change Throughout the Year:  Yes, hours to the facilities change during holidays, student breaks and summer months. Usage hours are posted on the Department of Athletics website and are posted at the main entrance.

What Do I Do If I Have Misplaced My Card:  There will be a $20 replacement card fee. To obtain a replacement card, visit Dining Services located in the lower level of Valentine Hall to obtain a new photo ID card.

Pratt Pool hours have been revised and will operate on a limited schedule.  Please review the schedule listed below.
