AMHERST, Mass. – With less than two months to go until the start of the 2019-20 school year, Amherst College Athletics is excited to announce the schedules for each of this year's fall sports.

Here are a few of the highlights of each team's schedule this fall:
Football – Full Schedule
Amherst hosts five home games this year, beginning with the season opener on September 14th against Bates at Pratt Field.
October will begin with back to back home games against Middlebury and Bowdoin and will end with a home game against Wesleyan on October 26th.
Homecoming will be November 2nd against Trinity before The Biggest Little Game in America heads to Williamstown for the season finale on November 9th.
Field Hockey – Full Schedule
The 2019 home opener is also the first NESCAC game of the year when Bowdoin comes to Amherst on September 7th.
September will finish with back-to-back games – first a trip to Williams, followed by a home game on Sunday the 29th against Middlebury, the defending national champions.
October opens up with home games against Wesleyan and Tufts. The Jumbos fell to Middlebury in the national title game.
Amherst ends the year with four straight road games heading into postseason play.
Men's Soccer – Full Schedule
Men's Soccer will be the first Mammoth team to play in Fall of 2019, as they will kick off the school year on September 4th with a 4:30 PM home game against Nichols, the first of three straight contests on Hitchcock Field.
NESCAC home games will include Connecticut College (September 21st), Middlebury (September 29th), Wesleyan (October 5th) and Tufts (October 12th). The Jumbos knocked Amherst out in the Sweet 16 last year on their way to winning a 3rd NCAA championship.
Amherst will travel to William Paterson on Columbus Day and end the year with four games away from home.
Women's Soccer – Full Schedule
Fresh off another trip to the NCAA Third Round, Amherst opens the year on September 5th at Mount Holyoke, then hosts Bowdoin on Saturday September 7th to start NESCAC play.
The Mammoths travel to rivals Williams College on September 28th before returning home to host Wesleyan and Wentworth the next weekend.
Another split conference/non-conference weekend features Tufts on Saturday October 12th and Springfield on Columbus Day.
The final home game of the year is Sunday, October 20th against Middlebury.
Women's Volleyball – Full Schedule
The 2019 NESCAC runners-up get underway on September 6th when they entertain Smith College.
Amherst hosts an early season tri-match against Worcester State and Brandeis on September 14th.
A rematch of the 2018 NESCAC title game against Wesleyan will be the second half of a home NESCAC weekend, beginning when Amherst hosts Connecticut College on Friday, October 11th.
The following weekend, Amherst and Smith will co-host the annual Hall of Fame Invitational. Amongst the madness of the event, the Mammoths will host Wellesley, Clark and Roger Williams.
Another huge NESCAC weekend at home follows with Tufts and Bowdoin coming to town on October 25th and 26th.
The Amherst Cross Country teams will open the year on September 14th when Wesleyan hosts the Little Three Championships.
Trips to Williams College and Lehigh University will follow as the squads tune-up for their championship events.
NESCAC Championships will be November 2nd at Williams College. Bowdoin will host the New England Championships on November 16th, while this year's NCAA Championships will be on November 23rd in Louisville, Kentucky.
The Amherst men's cross country team are the defending New England champions and will be looking for a third-straight national top-ten finish.
Women's Golf – Full Schedule
Though the NESCAC has switched to a fall qualifier for a spring championship tournament, Amherst still has a full schedule of events for September and October.
Right off the bat, Amherst will defend their titles at both the Batchelder Invitational and the Mount Holyoke Invitational.
Amherst will also travel to Middlebury and NYU, while in between the Williams College Fall Invite at Taconic Golf Course will serve as the first ever NESCAC Qualifier.
Men's Golf - Full Schedule
Amherst plays tournaments at Trinity, Middlebury and Williams as warm-ups for the 2019 Fall NESCAC Qualifier, this year to be hosted by Tufts University at Sandy Burr Golf Course.
The first weekend in October will see the Mammoths play a familiar course, The Ledges in South Hadley, with a two-day event hosted by Elms College.
Last season, Amherst took third at the season-opening Trinity Invitational and closed the fall with a second place showing at the Elms Invite.
